Mrs. Maxwell’s Big Italian is an heirloom tomato variety originating from Mexico, Missouri. Approximately 30 years ago, Mrs. Maxwell received tomato seeds from a friend in Italy. She diligently saved seeds from the largest, earliest, and non-cracking fruits each year, developing a robust and flavorful tomato.
